College Football Week 4 open thread

There's plenty we'll learn about the prospects in the 2013 NFL Draft today, but here's the four individual games we're hot on today:

No. 2 LSU at Auburn, 7 p.m., ESPN

No. 18 Michigan at No. 11 Notre Dame, 7:30 p.m., NBC

No. 15 Kansas State at No. 6 Oklahoma, 7:50 p.m., Fox

No. 10 Clemson at No. 4 Florida State, 8 p.m., ABC

But that's not all to pay attention to today. Below are a few items to follow along. Join us all day here for the fun.

In the Missouri at South Carolina game (3:30 p.m., CBS), the Gamecocks' Marcus Lattimore will be in the spotlight. Missouri has two legit NFL prospects on the defensive line in tackle Sheldon Richardson and end Brad Madison. Through three games, Lattimore has only had to carry the ball 48 times. Look for him to get a big workload today, which should test his surgically repaired knee.

A couple of UCLA players (end Datone Jones and running back Johnathan Franklin) are off to great starts. Can they continue it today against Oregon State (3:30 p.m., ABC/ESPN2)? Jones already has eight tackles for loss on the year and Franklin leads the nation in rushing.

Star-divide

Georgia linebacker Jarvis Jones is perhaps the hottest prospect in the nation after he torched Missouri a couple weeks ago. He could be in for another big day against Vanderbilt (7:45 p.m., ESPN2)

If your favorite NFL team needs wide receivers, check out California at USC (6 p.m., Pac-12 Network). Southern Cal's Robert Woods is possibly a first-round pick and Cal's Keenan Allen could develop this season into the top draft-eligible wide receiver. Both are big-play threats, but Allen has much better size.

In the Arizona at Oregon game (10:30 p.m., ESPN), there are two players I want to really watch develop this season. that would be Arizona quarterback Matt Scott and Oregon offensive tackle Kyle Long. Scott, who is 6-foot-3, 196 pounds, is off to a hot start completing 71.5 percent of his passes with seven touchdowns and just one interception. But is he just a product of Rich Rodriguez's offense? Long is an intriguing offensive tackle prospect. He's huge at 6-foot-7, 311 pounds and athletic.
